I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve recently achieved certification as a Focused Psychological Strategies Practitioner (Level 2 Mental Health Skills Provider). This new qualification allows me to offer even more comprehensive support to my patients, particularly those with a mental health plan.
What Does This Mean for You?
If you have a mental health plan, you can now claim psychological sessions with me and receive a higher Medicare rebate. Once your GP Mental Health Treatment Plan has been completed and claimed through Medicare, you’re eligible for up to 10 Medicare rebateable mental health services per calendar year. This includes consultations with me as well as sessions with other psychological treatment providers, such as psychologists. Additionally, you can claim up to 10 separate services for group therapy, which can be part of psychological therapy or focused psychological strategies.
In the future, I’ll also be running group breathwork workshops, which will qualify for Medicare rebates under your mental health plan. This offers an exciting opportunity for those interested in improving their mental health through group therapy sessions.

No Mental Health Plan? No Problem!
If you don’t currently have a mental health plan, don’t have a regular doctor, and are eligible, I can write one for you. The consultation to create your mental health plan can be bulk billed, making it even easier for you to access the support you need.
